It is Nearly Election Day

Election day is next Tuesday unless you voted early. If you have not already how you are going to vote I encourage you to take some time over the weekend to examine the issues important to you and those that affect the country and then look at the candidates to see which ones will best represent your position. Then, go a vote accordingly. Please make time to exercise your constitutional right.

Another Activist Judge Example

Here is another example of ONE judge throwing out the will of the people and imposing his personal opinions on them. The best aspect of this ruling is that it will be appealed and should eventually end up at the Supreme Court where it can finally be settled.

Obama Following the Alinsky Textbook

I have heard others make the connection of Obama to Alinsky’s book Rules for Radicals but I don’t remember seeing it explained by using the specific rules from the book. It is very informative to see the rule and then some specific examples of what Obama has said and done.

Thomas Sowell has written an editorial published at Investors.com with the above title. In one excerpt, Sowell says

With vastly expanded powers of government available at the discretion of politicians and bureaucrats, private individuals and organizations can be forced into accepting the imposition of powers that were never granted to the government by the Constitution.

Here is a short article posted over at RedState discussing Obama not consulting the military leaders before he sets military policy. Here is a good quote to get you started:

The Joint Chiefs of Staff are in open and public rebellion against the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs over Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Most troubling, the Obama administration neither consulted nor advices the Chiefs before rushing off the congress with the proposal to lift DADT.

Tennessee Passes Resolution in Support of Arizona

Yesterday afternoon the Tennessee House of Representatives passed a joint resolution (HJR1253) in support of the State of Arizona for taking steps to protect their people when the federal government had failed to do so. The main Resolved says:

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE CONCURRING, that this body hereby honors and commends the State of Arizona and its government officials on the upcoming commemoration of Arizona’s Centennial and that this body also salutes the initiative and the courage of the Arizona State Legislature and Governor Jan Brewer in their actions to protect their citizens and the borders of our great nation.
